Christine Update

It has now been more than 2 months since the seizure and 8 weeks since the surgery.  Here is a quick up-date and prayer request for Christine and I.

MRI: We flew back up to NIH today for another MRI today and consultation with Dr. Fine regarding treatment options tomorrow.  We in the waiting room right now as Christine is in the MRI.  Please pray again for no harm to be done to the baby.  We understand that it is relatively safe but just unknown.

NIH Consultation: Also pray for God's guidance on our consultation with Dr. Fine tomorrow.  We should find out more about the tumor and we expect to find out what he recommends as the best treatment plan.  He is probably one of the best neuro-oncologists in the world and probably has more experience treating brain tumors than anyone in the world.  He is personally overseeing some 3000 some brain tumor patients a year and we understand he has personally seen each one.  We are thankful he was willing to take on our case.  God has guided so far and we trust he will guide us along the journey ahead.  But we covet your prayers in our behalf.

Baby: The baby is making herself known more prominently now.  She is "showing" more with each passing day.  Christine has been feeling the baby move now for a while.  She seems to be a busy child.  I think she is 5 months along now.  Delivery date is December 17.

Aphasia: We ordered and just received a fascinating book called "Anticancer" by David Servan-Schreiber, M.D. PHD.  Dr. Schreiber battled a brain tumor himself and explores the role of the immune system in combating it.  We have amazingly created bodies which are multifaceted and complex.  He shares his own journey and what he has learned and supports it with much research.  I don't believe the brain surgery has slowed down Christine's reading speed much.  She is well into the book.  Her "intake" is as fast as ever, it is her "outgo" that is slower.  I guess that's called "lag time.
