Better Update

Mom made it through surgery great!

The doctor had estimated the surgery would take two hours. About an hour into it they told us that they were closing. One and a half hours later the doctor was talking to us and mom was in recovery.

They have taken several biopsies and will let us know at the follow up appointment in approximately 10 days what level of cancer it was and what level of treatment is recommended.

The relief that we are all feeling is much greater, I think, than it would have been on Tuesday if everything had gone as planned. My mom might not be feeling it right now, but she is very blessed. The doctor told us today that his team worked quickly to fix the situation. He told us that she had almost died and he was thankful that his team was on top of everything and mom came through okay because of them.

Also the response from our friends and family has been amazing. I know that I have the best friends in the world, but this week has really proved it. So thankful for so many things today.
