Life

Today has not gone as I planned. I'm the type that plans something to death. There are lists and schedules and tons of thought. Once I've ironed everything out I'm willing to deviate, but reluctantly so.

My poor mom's surgery issues are NOT going as planned. There isn't anything I can do to make her feel better, be in less pain or heal quicker. It's frustrating. All I can do is sit there and hold her hand while she squeezes mine every time she swallows or moves her head.

My brother is leaving and returning with red eyes. I'll admit that I've had those same moments myself. It makes me wonder how my heavenly Father can stand to watch us in pain. He must be in agony. It's no wonder that He can't wait to return for us.

The doctor told us that he almost lost my mom. Can you imagine what that did to my heart.
So right now we are waiting. Waiting for visiting hours to start again, waiting for my mom to stabilize enough so they can do surgery and waiting to see what plan B will be.

Update on my mom

My mom was supposed to have surgery today. I woke up early this morning. Farmed my children out to gracious friends and drove up here.

My mom had a tracheotomy when she was in 8th grade because of a very bad car accident. She almost died in this accident. If a doctor hadn't been driving directly behind her car and preformed a trach right there on the road she wouldn't have lived. Apparently this seriously damaged her throat. So when they went in to do the tubes for the surgery they had problems. She ended up having an emergency tracheotomy and is now having a ct scan to make sure she didn't have a stroke because she didn't get oxygen for approx 3 min. So the surgery has been postponed till at least Thurs and she'll have the trach for at least two weeks. So please keep praying.

I'll keep the blog updated. Because I'm a little rattled and I'm getting tons of texts I'm afraid I'll forget to respond or not say something right. So I'll just update this so everyone can check on it.
