Another update on my friend Christine -
Dear family and friends,
Well, we are excited about nothing! That is we are very grateful to have nothing to report, grateful that things are not getting worse or progressing into a dire situation. But mostly grateful for the Lord’s sustaining grace and for every day of life.
We have just returned from another visit to the NIH for another MRI and consult. It appears this will become a common way of life for us as we will frequently have to go there for continued follow-up and care. They want to monitor her with monthly MRI’s until after the pregnancy and then every two months after that while she is under treatment. We are so thankful for the miraculous way this has opened up for us and the care we are receiving here. It has truly been an incredible experience at a most amazing place.
As for the MRI this time the Dr. said that basically there were no changes and it looked essentially the same as the one a month ago except that the brain had collapsed some into the cavity some more after the resection. He said this was normal and everything looked stable. It had not grown at all. This is all good news. Praise God!
We saw a different attending physician this time and were very impressed with him as well. He was helpful and answered our questions very thoroughly and helped us to understand some of the issues we were not clear on.
So for now we are waiting and praying and thankful for every day. Indeed we are daily proving the truth of this passage of scripture, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait I say, on the Lord.” Ps 27:14
Please know how much your love, support, and prayers have meant to us. Please continue to pray! We have seen his leading and trust hand for the future.
Blessings,
