Photo Shoot

I got the chance to take pictures of the cutest little boy the other day. His mother was contemplating cutting his curls and since it was close to his third birthday, figured she'd get some pictures taken. It was a crazy day for both of us, but we managed to squeeze in a few minutes to snap some shots. As typical with some young children, he isn't fond of cheesing for the camera. But we worked with it, and I love several of these shots.

He might not want to look at the camera, but there is a whole lot of cuteness wrapped up in this little bundle. Love his smile!

Photo Shoot

I took these pictures quite some time ago, but just haven't had the time to put them on here.
I love this family! I threaten to steal the girls quite often. Tamorah is the sister of my heart. I was so happy for her when she got engaged and thrilled to take some engagement pictures of the two of them.

Aren't they the cutest couple?!

Fall Photo Shoot

Fall seems to make people think of pictures. I've taken pictures of this family before and really enjoy working with them. This year I chose Walnut Park. It's quiet and tucked away, so less chance of someone accidentally walking through your picture.

We had a reluctant participant.
Don't you just want to squeeze him?!
I had to sneak pictures in when he wasn't paying attention since he wasn't fond of the camera.
Sometimes you have to include the ones that aren't staged. I love the look on her face.
These two are goofy, but it makes taking pictures so much fun.

Someday. . .

I've posted a blog post on the kids blog, but this was my favorite photo shoot of all time. So I'm going to post a few pictures here as well.

Photo Shoot

Last month I had another photo shoot. These kids were great to work with and I always enjoy using my library for a shoot. The only problem is the lighting in there. My husband wasn't thinking about photography when he put lights in. He was thinking about reading.

Photography

I somehow inadvertently stumbled into being a photographer. It wasn't planned. And I feel so inadequate most of the time.

But when someone calls and asks me to take their family's pictures I don't want to say no. I know I'm not the best out there, but I really, really enjoying doing it. So I give my spiel about not being a professional and they still ask me to do it.

So here are a few pictures from my most recent photo shoot. It always helps to have some super cute kids to work with. =)

Maternity Photo Shoot

I always like to wait until after I've handed over the pictures before posting about a photo shoot. But my pregnant mommy has posted these on her facebook page so I'm good.

I had SO much fun taking these pictures. As with any person, I could tell you every flaw or wonky thing that went wrong. But to the people who weren't behind the camera - these are great pictures.

And it helped to have such amazing people to photograph. This baby boy is very blessed to have these two for parents.

Isn't Beth-Anne a beautiful mommy?!
 Such a sweet couple.
But even better - they were super fun!
Dad, Matthew, is showing off his belly too.
 One of my favorites!
 Surprise!
Thank you to this beautiful couple for letting me be a part of their baby boy's story!

Nearing the end

A couple of days ago a friend of mine called and asked for a huge favor. My friend is a vet and one of her coworkers has a beautiful old dog named Kentucky. Both of them know that the dog doesn't have a lot of time left. So my friend came up with the idea to get some pictures of Kentucky while he was still mobile so his owner would have something to remember him by.

I kept telling her I wasn't a professional photographer, but she reassured me that it would be fine.

So here are a few pictures from our photo shoot. He was the sweetest dog and I had a ton of fun.
